Francis Oghuma is a Nigerian-born multimedia storyteller, children’s book author, and speaker on the Afro-diaspora, based in Cologne, Germany. With over 18 years of experience, he creates projects that foster cultural exchange and dialogue, using storytelling and imagery to explore identity, migration, and belonging. As a co-creator of Black History Retold and the Afro Kultur Initiative, Francis amplifies underrepresented voices and celebrates Afro-diasporic heritage. He has curated impactful projects like Diaspora in Motion, Afrotreff, and the ongoing Black in White Spaces, which examines racial identity in contemporary society. His work with institutions such as the Rautenstrauch Joest Museum and educational programs like School Without Racism (Hölderlin Gymnasium) highlights his commitment to social change and cultural advocacy. Francis’s documentation of Black Lives in Germany captures the diverse experiences of Black communities, while his collaborations with schools and cultural organizations inspire inclusivity and dialogue. Available for assignments and partnerships, he continues to spark transformative conversations through the power of storytelling.
